When we opened Shusai Mijo 18 months ago, we had a vision: to share authentic Japanese omakase in the heart of Fitzroy. We poured our hearts into every dish, every detail, every moment.

Today, we write to share that Shusai Mijo will close on December 24th, 2025.

Why this decision?

Running a restaurant is a journey of constant evolution. After much reflection, we’ve realized that to continue serving you with the passion and quality you deserve, we need to transform. The current format has reached its natural conclusion, and it’s time for something new.
